Traditional website advertising partnerships often require site owners and advertisers to communicate back and forth: confirming ad placements, verifying prices, collecting images and links, processing payments, and then manually setting the ad display period.
Guaqi’s Ad Auto-Subscription plugin integrates these steps into your website’s existing form and payment systems, letting users self-select ad spaces, upload materials, and purchase on a monthly basis—just like buying a membership. Administrators only need to review the ad content, and once approved, it displays automatically.
One Module, Multiple Ad Layouts

The plugin uses your website’s existing form module as the display entry point. After entering the form ID in the builder, you can place the corresponding ad space on the homepage, article pages, topic pages, or any other location you need.
Currently supports five layouts:
- Four-Grid
- Six-Grid
- Two Top, One Bottom
- One Left, Two Right
- One Column, Three Rows Banner
Different layouts can adapt to different widths and heights such as sidebars, content areas, and homepage banners. A single ad module can contain multiple independent small cells, and each cell can be purchased separately.
The same form ID can also be placed in multiple locations on the website to display the same set of ad content, making it easy to create a site-wide unified ad space.
Automatic Price Calculation Based on Ad Space Proportion
Administrators only need to set the total monthly price for the entire ad module, without filling in prices for each cell individually.
The plugin calculates the corresponding monthly price on the WordPress side in advance based on each ad cell’s proportion of the layout. For example, larger ad spaces with higher proportions will have correspondingly higher prices; equal grids automatically split the price evenly.
The backend also allows you to set:
- Total Monthly Price for the Module
- Minimum Purchase Months
- Whether to Allow Guest Purchases
- Multilingual Purchase Instructions
- Purchasable User Groups
- User Registration Time Restriction
All prices are calculated and validated on the server side, with the frontend only responsible for displaying results, preventing users from modifying parameters to affect the actual payment amount.
Users Can Complete Ad Purchases Self-Service
Ad spaces that haven’t been sold yet display as gray placeholders, with the suitable image aspect ratio marked in the center.
When a user clicks on an ad space, the system checks purchase permissions in a popup. If the user doesn’t have permission, the popup directly shows that they cannot purchase; if they meet the criteria, the complete purchase form is displayed.
Users can:
- Upload or select ad images from the website media library
- Fill in the ad redirect link
- Select the number of months to purchase
- View the monthly price and automatically calculated total price
- Read the purchase instructions set by the administrator
- Complete payment using the website’s existing payment methods
The plugin directly reuses the project’s existing forms, media library, currency, and payment mechanisms, without needing to maintain a separate order system.
Review After Payment, Display After Approval
After successful payment, ads are not immediately displayed publicly but enter a pending review status.
Administrators can check the ad images and redirect links in the WordPress backend. Only after approval will the ad appear in the corresponding location; if the content doesn’t meet requirements, display can also be rejected.
Ad data is still stored in the project’s existing form data tables, managed by form ID and ad cell identifiers, without needing to add a separate set of business data tables.
Automatic Display Stop Upon Expiration, No Scheduled Tasks Needed
Each approved ad records a start time and expiration time.
The plugin doesn’t rely on scheduled tasks and doesn’t require backend timed scanning. Each time the server displays an ad, the system checks the current time:
- Not expired: Display the ad image and link normally
- Expired: Restore to a purchasable gray ad space
- Reserved but unpaid and timed out: Automatically treated as purchasable
- Pending review: Keep the ad space reserved, not allowing other users to purchase it again
This approach reduces backend tasks and database scans, and also prevents expired ads from continuing to display due to scheduled tasks not running properly.
Unified Collaboration with Website Caching Mechanisms
The ad module supports server-side rendering, so ad images can be output directly when the page first opens, without needing to show placeholders first and then replace them asynchronously via the browser.
At the same time, ad pages can enter the project’s public page cache normally. When reservations, payments, reviews, and form settings change, the plugin notifies the Node side through the host’s unified cache event mechanism, so the ad module follows the same cache invalidation and rebuilding process as articles, categories, and other content.
This preserves the stable display effect of server-side rendering while not causing the entire page to lose caching capability because of the ad module.
Which Websites Is It Suitable For
The Ad Auto-Subscription plugin is suitable for:
- Content and news websites
- Industry portals and vertical communities
- Local life websites
- Directory and resource websites
- Blogs and paid knowledge websites
- Topic sites with fixed traffic entry points
- Websites that need to sell friend links, brand banners, or recommendation slots
It can not only sell traditional image ads but also be used for brand recommendations, event entries, partner showcases, sponsor zones, and other scenarios.
Turn Ad Partnerships from Manual Communication into Self-Service Subscriptions
The core value of this plugin isn’t just adding a few ad slots, but turning ad sales into a complete automated process:
Select ad space → Upload materials → Automatic pricing → Online payment → Administrator review → Automatic display → Release upon expiration
Site owners can reduce repetitive communication and manual maintenance, while advertisers can more clearly see the placement, price, and purchase cycle.
For websites that already have stable traffic, ad spaces are no longer just a piece of space on a page, but a digital asset that can be continuously sold, automatically delivered, and repeatedly renewed.
